Structure

The EQF 7 in Theology programme challenges students to critically engage and contribute to scholarship in biblical and theological studies. Each module is worth 10 ECTS credits. 60 credits are required to complete the EQF 7 Partial (Postgrad-level Diploma) award. 90 credits are required to complete the EQF 7 (MA-level) award.

The courses in this programme fall within Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). For more info on EQF, click here.

Admission to the Master-Level programme requires the following:

1) A completed application to study at KEDS.

2) an undergraduate degree in Theology or a related field (2:2 or above), or an equivalent credential.

3) An academic reference.

In some cases, particularly with mature students (aged 21+), applicants who are able to demonstrate an ability to undertake postgraduate studies without an undergraduate degree are considered on an individual case-by-case basis

An IELTS score of 6.5 is required where English is not the applicant’s first language.

Once the application is processed, each candidate will be invited for a short interview before acceptance into the programme

The EQF 7 in Theology consists of 90 credits, made up of a number of modules, mostly chosen by the student. It is also possible to study for fewer credits and obtain an EQF 7 Partial (Postgraduate diploma) award (60 credits).
