This orientation course equips all KEDS students with the essential skills needed for research and essay writing. Students will learn how to locate, evaluate, and integrate credible sources into their work, structure well-organised essays, and maintain academic integrity. A key focus will be on understanding and avoiding plagiarism through proper attribution and paraphrasing.
Additionally, this module provides guidance on accessing and utilising the school’s Learning Management System (LMS). Students will learn how to navigate the LMS to access course materials, submit assignments, engage in discussions, and seek academic support. Mastering these skills will ensure students can effectively manage their coursework and academic responsibilities.
