This course provides an in-depth exploration of the prophetic books of the Old Testament, focusing on their historical context, literary structure, theological messages, and enduring relevance. Students will study the lives, messages, and cultural challenges of key prophets such as Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and the twelve minor prophets. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the prophetic call for justice, repentance, and faithfulness, as well as the prophets’ role in anticipating the fulfillment of God’s promises. Through close reading, historical analysis, and interpretive practice, students will discover how prophetic texts address both ancient Israel and todayās world.
