The David Royle Scholarship Fund

You can also support pastors in developing countries through the David Royle Scholarship Fund.

The David Royle Scholarship for Pastors is established in honour and memory of David Royle (1959–2024), whose life was marked by a commitment to missions and pastoral training around the world. David served as a missionary in South Africa and was actively involved in mission work across multiple regions, always driven by a passion to see the gospel faithfully taught and lived out.

David had a particular burden for pastors serving in developing countries. He believed that strong, biblically grounded leadership is essential for the health and growth of the Church. His heart was to equip pastors with sound theological education and practical training so they could more effectively shepherd their congregations and fulfil their God-given calling.

In keeping with David’s vision, this scholarship is dedicated to supporting pastors who lack access to formal theological education in developing countries but possess a clear calling to ministry. Through this fund, KEDS seeks to invest in pastors by providing biblical training, encouragement, and resources that will strengthen both their personal faith and their ministry impact.
